PARKS
Dunton
Athletic Field
West
side of Kennedy Road, just north of 401 (there is no Kennedy
Road exit from 401), take 401 west to Hwy 410 north to Courtney
Park Drive west to Kennedy Road south.
River Grove Park (formerly Timothy Street)
River
Grove Avenue, south off of Britannia Road, two blocks west
of Creditview Road.
Brickyard Park
On
Hillcrest, north of Dundas and east of Mavis.
IN
CASE OF RAIN
No matter what the weather,
please go to the park if your game is the first game of the
night. It is up to the umpire to suspend or cancel a game
due to rain. You must be at the park and be able to
field a team before the umpire will make a call on whether
or not the game will be played. Record your players
in the score book as usual, noting it as a rainout if that’s
the case.
Circumstances under which an umpire
may suspend or cancel:
- lightning during the game
- heavy pouring rain
- water on the diamond that is unmanageable
even after some maintenance.
The condition of each diamond
can vary, so it is not a uniform call for all diamonds. The
weather must be extremely harsh over a prolonged period of
time in order for the first game to be cancelled by the League.
This has been a very rare occurrence over the 18-year history
